We are a Survival Multiplayer server that allows raiding, griefing, and cater more towards an adult audience. Although we do NOT shun a younger crowd.
Vnlla is no longer 100% a vanilla server. Instead, we have upgraded the server to run on the Spigot.jar to help improve your gaming experience.
The map has a 1 Million Block diameter, which makes it 500k Blocks from the 0,0,0 mark.
By typing /vote on the server you can bring up the voting links to be able to support the server with a few benefits.
These benefits include:
Vote for Vnlla at MCSL
Vote for Vnlla at Planet Minecraft
Vote for Vnlla at Minecraft-MP
Vote for Vnlla at MinecraftServers.org
We do NOT support ranks on the server. The closest things we have to ranks is a server VIP Player & a VIP2 Player.
You get VIP by voting on our four voting sites. Once you hit 25 Votes, you will receive VIP for a period of 30 days. When you get to the VIP level you get an extra home over the default players as long as you retain this level by continuing to vote. If you do not keep VIP then you will lose the home until you have it again, the actual home set is not lost, only the ability to go there..
You get VIP2 by voting on our voting sites. Once you hit 60 Votes, you will receive VIP2 for a period of 30 days. When you get to the VIP2 level you get an extra two homes over the default players, as long as you retain this level by continuing to vote. If you do not keep VIP2 then you will lose the home until you have it again, the actual home set is not lost, only the ability to go there..
You are allowed up to a total of 150 Entities at your base and a total of 100 Entities in your view distance. We limit the number of Entities a player may have at their base because potential lag that can arrise from out of control, colliding mobs. Vanilla minecraft simply is not able to support a large number of Entities on a multiplayer server, along with a large number of players currently playing, without noticeably lagging.
To check how many Entities are at your base you need to push F3 and look down to the 4th Row from the Top Left Corner of your screen. There you will see an E. The first number after that E is the total number of Entities in your view distance & the first number after the : is the total number of Entities at your base.
We do NOT allow any mods on the server, however, we do allow the Optifine client. This is to keep the server a balanced playing experience for all players.
You are allowed to post an application in the Moderator Application Section on the forum, however, you should not keep your fingers crossed as we are extremely picky about our staff. As a side note, do NOT ask any staff members for staffing privileges, it could get you banned.
You should make an appeal on our forums and be patient for a staff member to answer your appeal.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SIGN BACK ONTO THE SERVER UNDER AN ALTERNATE ACCOUNT! It will simply NOT work and will only ensure your ban remains.
We do not want players on top of the Nether because it takes away from the gaming experience and feels a bit cheaty to us. People travel far away to be able to make large bases above the ground and allowing people to just run on the flat surface of the Nether, with Speed Potions et al., makes their travels rather moot. Running on top of the Nether also causes the server to have to load in a lot of new chunks and regions very quickly, which could lead to server lag.
NOTE: Running on top of the Nether can either lead to you being kicked from the server or banned from the server.
It has always been Vnlla's policy to disable the Random Teleport Plates at the start of each Map Reset. The RTP are only disabled for about the first 1-2 weeks of the map reset.
As far as being able to set a home on Vnlla, starting with the 1.15 Map Reset we are disabling the abililty to set a home for a VERY SHORT period of time. Until we are fully confident that the server's reset has gone smoothly and there are no gigantic glaring issues. Once this has been concluded, we will reenable the ability to set homes again. Sorry for any inconvinence in this matter & thank you for understanding.
We limit players abilities to fly above Y = 356(ish). This is 100 blocks above the building level cap. This is because the higher you fly with your Elytra the more lag you cause the server, to the point you could bring it to a crawl.
NOTE: Flying above this height could lead to you either being kicked from the server or eventually banned from the server.
Although we prefer to keep the specifics of the plugins that we use to be as close to a secret as we possibly can keep it; I can say that we do not use any plugins that alter the way that you play the game. Most of the plugins used are for Administrative purposes. We have also wrote a few of our own plugins that the server uses as its foundation, and all these plugins are doing is the same thing Vnlla's Wrapper had done when we were a completely vanilla server.
You should talk to one of the owners about this issue and only one of the owners. Do NOT try to pick a fight with the Admin. It might only make the issue worse.
We Restart the server every 4 hours. Restarts are used to be able to kick AFK players from the server, to try to reduce the lag that the server might currently have, to clear entities that did not despawn from chunks properly, to unload chunks that did not properly unload, and to Reset the area around Spawn, ensuring that Spawn looks good for new players coming onto Vnlla.
If your house keeps disappearing on the server it is probably because you have built too close to the Spawn Building. During our Restarts, we reset the two region files surroudning the Spawn Building, back to the original state we have saved in our backups. So, building in that area would mean that your house would disappear after a Restart.
You should report this to an operator. Please have the coordinates of your Home's location ready by your side.
NOTE: ALWAYS write down your Home's coordinates on a piece of paper or in a document on your computer. This way you never forget where your Home is located.
Just simply retype
/sethome 2(3) if you are a VIP(2) in the chat when you have the appropriate number of levels to reset your Home.
No, we want all players to be responsible for themselves.
